FIELD TRIPS

Field trips are an important arm of the learning process. On field trips, students have the opportunity to see and learn in an interactive and hands-on way, enhancing what they have been taught in the classroom. Standard field trips for our students include, but are not limited to, the Biodiversity and Marine Lab, the Taino Museum in St. Ann, Wigton Wind Farm in St. Elizabeth, the Bob Marley Museum, Devon House and the National Gallery and Institute of Jamaica.

Students are expected to participate in planned field trips. Parents are required to sign a permission slip for each field trip. Students will not be taken on any field trip unless prior permission in writing is provided. There is usually a fee associated with each trip for transportation and event/venue entry. The school will make every attempt to give one weeks’ notice prior to a field trip.

The required dress code will be noted on the permission slip that is sent home.
